INSTRUCTIONS

Week 5 : Shooting Exercise
In week 5 we were tasked to film a trailer with the reference from the K-drama "Happiness". I was put in the role as art director so I was in charge with choosing what the actors had to wear and also bringing the props.

As art director I made a list for the actor's clothes of what to wear and what to avoid and also the prop list.

The actors then send me pictures of the clothes they are planning to wear. Thought I did not know I had to request for a full body picture from them so I do apologize on my mistake for that. Both the actors send me their outfit choice on WhatsApp and below are the pictures they have send.

On the day of the shooting I brought the props which were the umbrella, notebook, bandages, lip tint (blood), and bought a bottle of water from the vending machine at campus.

Editing
Lulu compiled the footage and share it in a google drive for us, while Adena did the same for the sound and ambiance.

After picking out which footage, sound, and ambiance I preferred. Then I uploaded everything into Premiere Pro to assemble them. First, I sync the footage with the sounds and ambiance, then I added background music to make it more dramatic. I added transition dip to black to most of the parts to give it a final touch. Lastly, I added the rolling credits using the roll edit on the text and black matte colour as the background.

REFLECTIONS

This project was fun as we were able to go to campus and film it with our classmates. We were able to go to many locations on the campus to film it and it was so exciting it felt like I was on a campus tour (I never had a campus tour before sadly). It was interesting being the art director since I had to prepare the props and also suggest to the actors what to wear. The only difficulty I faced was filming under the sun, sunlight is dreadful, I can't really stand bright and extremely hot places because I am used to staying indoors. I almost passed out because of that so I had to stay indoors and drink plenty of water before I actually fall. Assembling the video and audio that we have film was so much fun as well as we were able to have the freedom to choose the sequence that we want, so I made mine as dramatic as possible.
